A broken order journey
Once an order went into production it was re-keyed by hand into the accounting program, the shipping company and shared ordering systems. Every transfer took time, and a mistyped line travelled all the way to the invoice.
what I did
Order Integration API and connectors
I wrote a shared Order Integration API that outside systems can send orders to, and built each customer's accounting, shipping and ordering connections on top of it. New integrations stopped starting from scratch and reuse the same endpoint.
